Maria Becker has been with the company since 1997 and has lived in Berchtesgaden for 30 years. She was born in the province of Salzburg - the beautiful Pinzgau, which you can easily recognize from her language. She has enjoyed hiking in the mountains of her former homeland since she was a child. Maria is responsible for the reservations of guided tours, information on the phone and the dinner in the salt mine.

"I love being in the mountains" is a good way to describe Antonia's philosophy of life. Always enthusiastic about the mountains, she really enjoys working in the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine. She has been part of the tourism marketing team since 2012 and is now mother to a young daughter, currently on maternity leave and enjoying the family life. Antonia was responsible for the online presence of the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine and the Old Salt Works in Bad Reichenhall. What she particularly likes about her job is the interesting and varied range of tasks: Whether it's maintaining the homepage, maintaining the online ticket store, carrying out search engine marketing and search engine optimization or media planning for the online ads. Most of all she enjoys working with customers. Besides her passion - music - her favorite leisure activities are sports and traveling.

Christina Brandmayer began her apprenticeship at the Berchtesgaden salt mine in 2015. She gave free rein to her thirst for knowledge during her studies in tourism management and is currently working towards her Master's degree. She always has an eye for the latest trends and applies this in the area of sales, among other things. This is why she is also responsible for sales in the Asian and North American markets. She is also responsible for the websites and online ticket stores of the salt mine and the old salt works in Bad Reichenhall. This makes her our contact person for online marketing.

The art teacher and museum director was the initiator of the school class laboratory at the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine. He also created the beautiful and informative brine hiking trail "Sole-Wanderweg" above the rooftops of Berchtesgaden.

Enrico Reindl began his training as an industrial salesman at SWS AG in Bad Reichenhall in 2020. He supported the tourism marketing team at the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine as a trained industrial salesman until December 2023. Among other things, he was responsible for group reservations and customer support

Heidi Angerer worked at the Berchtesgaden salt mine until 2023, when successfully completed her training as a sales manager for leisure and hospitality. She has already completed an apprenticeship as a photographer, which is why she enjoys creative work. Another passion of hers is spending time in nature and in the Berchtesgaden mountains.

Monika Hüttinger was born in Berchtesgaden and has been part of the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine marketing team since 2005. She is now a young mom to two wonderful little kids. She supports the tourism marketing team with exciting projects. Previously, she was responsible for a wide range of tasks, including social media, looking after the Asian market, print media and our salt store at the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine. What she loves most about her job is the variety of her different areas of responsibility. In her free time, she is either out and about in the local mountains or pursuing her passion - traveling.

Manfred Schindler is a passionate tourism expert. He travels all over Europe to various tourism trade fairs and represents the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine with a passion. Manfred is our contact "above ground"! He lives and breathes for salt and customer service.

Maria Schwaiger is the team leader of Tourism Marketing and has been working at the Berchtesgaden salt mine for 10 years. She always keeps an overview and plans the marketing activities together with the team. She particularly enjoys the unique, mystical atmosphere at the Mirror Lake in the Berchtesgaden salt mine. As an Austrian, she commutes to Germany every day.

Peter Botzleiner-Reber was Head of Tourism at the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine and the Old Salt Works in Bad Reichenhall until 2020. He was responsible for the tourism operations of the two excursion destinations, their further development, press relations and regional activities.

Ann-Kathrin Helbig joined the Tourism Marketing team in summer 2023 and returned to her adopted home of Berchtesgaden after an educational time in the Austrian tourism. Ann-Kathrin lives out her creativity in our social media channels and print media. She is also responsible for print products and our salt store. Ann-Kathrin is the contact person for our guests by phone and email. She prefers to spend her free time outdoors in alpine terrain.

Christina Sulzauer began her apprenticeship as a tourism and leisure manager in 2023. She is at home in the mountains, enjoys going on ski tours during the winter and is active in bavarian culture associations. As an apprentice, Christina supports the tourism marketing team at the Berchtesgaden site, as well as many other departments at SWS AG. She particularly enjoys customer service and working on exciting projects.

Michael Lochner started as a tour guide in the visitor mine in the summer of 2022 and has been working as a student trainee in the Tourism Marketing team since April 2024. He has chosen the perfect position to put the acquired skills of his bachelor's programme into practice. He mainly supports the team in customer service and marketing.

Vanessa Roßhäupter started her apprenticeship as an industrial clerk in 2022 at Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG in Bad Reichenhall. After successfully completing her training, she is now part of the Tourism & Marketing team at the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine as a qualified industrial clerk until August 2025. She is responsible for managing guest enquiries, handling reservations, and providing support in the areas of tourism and marketing.
