The new restaurant manager of the Bergschänke at the Berchtesgaden salt mine

The Bistro Reichenbach known as before opened on 14.06.2021 under a new name and new management.Robert Hackl is looking forward to spoiling his guests with traditional Bavarian delicacies in the future.

Mr Hackl looks back on many years of experience as a chef and head chef in the international gastronomy and hotel industry.Today, the Berchtesgaden native lives with his family in Schönau am Königssee.

As a service company, customer satisfaction is a top priority for Mr Hackl and his team.“We will do everything for the good of the guest. It is important that all dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and with love,” says the 51-year-old restaurateur. In future, therefore, there will once again be special group menus as well as senior citizens' and children's portions. In summer, the cosy terrace of the Bergschänke directly above the Königsseer Ache invites you to linger. In addition, the interior, which was formerly used as the salt mine's engine house, offers space for about 110 people.Due to the current Corona rules, there are currently correspondingly fewer places available.Due to the preserved original furnishings, the Bergschänke shines with its historic charm.

The opening hours of the restaurant are based on the opening hours of the visitor mine.We are also happy to offer special events outside the regular opening hours, subject to the currently valid Corona rules.Mr Hackl personally accepts enquiries for the Bergschänke:
