visiting us
An excursion with several people needs to be well planned.With our tips and information, nothing stands in the way of a relaxed tour of the salt mine.
Clothes and footwear
The temperature in the mine is around + 12 °C. So remember to wear appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.Overalls to protect your clothes are available on site.
Backpacks and bulky items
Please leave your backpack, umbrella or hat in the car or bus.For safety reasons, bulky objects may not be taken into the mine.You are also welcome to use our lockers.
Meeting place and timing
Meeting point for a group tour is at the cash desk of the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine.Please be there at least 15 minutes before the start of your tour.
