Based on the announced opening of tourist destinations and hotels on Whitsun by the authorities, a protection and hygiene concept was developed to minimise the risk of infection. An essential point of the concept is the significant reduction of the group size. For the salt mine, for example, the number of guests per group was reduced from the previous 50 to 20.There is only a maximum of 10 guests per group in the Old Saltworks.Further key points are the equalisation of tours, the wearing of mouth and nose protection is obligatory as well as the observance of the minimum distance of 1.5 m to persons not belonging to the household.Events such as the "Dinner underground" will not be offered until further notice.
"The measures taken and the rules of conduct serve to protect our guests and our staff," says press spokesperson Daniela Pflug.
All decisions and measures are subjected to an ongoing risk assessment, always with regard to developments in the infection situation in Germany and in compliance with the requirements of the authorities.
